The 623 GSM module connects to compatible control and indicating equipment and sends fire detection and alarm system status messages to pre-configured mobile telephone numbers[1].

A standard SIM (not supplied) is required to be installed in the 623, and an antenna is included for connection to the mobile telephone network. The 623 is powered from a DC 24 V power source available from the CIE.
